How To Eliminate QuickBooks Error PS077?

I have recently upgraded the QuickBooks desktop, and since then, I have been unable to print the W4 form. Even after downloading the payroll update, I get the QuickBooks error PS077. How can I fix this error? 

 

QuickBooks error PS077 appears on your screen when your payroll update fails because of a damaged or corrupted company file. Running Verify and Rebuild Data tool will help you to fix this error:

Verify your Company’s Data

• Go to the File menu.
• From the dropdown, select Utilities.
• Now, click Verify Data to find common errors in your company file.

Rebuild Data to fix common errors in your company file

• Click on the File menu.
• Select Utilities from the dropdown menu.
• You will be asked to create a company file backup; tap OK.
• Here, create a new backup file rather than replace the old one.
• Rebuilding your data will be done when you get the message Rebuild has Completed; tap OK.
